๐™š ˚๐Ÿช Macaron Keychains ⋆｡˚ ๐ญฉ

Hi guys! I hope you guys like this free macaron pattern! This is a contribution to my recent 500 followers on instagram and new pattern, Bunbun & Chicky release! ๐Ÿฃ๐Ÿฐ

Notes ๐Ÿ“

  • This Pattern is written in US terminology and is worked in continuous rounds
  • It is a beginner level and requires sewing for connecting the shells
  • This pattern is intended for personal use only, please do not copy, modify, translate, redistribute or claim this pattern as your own.

Materials ๐Ÿงถ

  • Yarn (bernat blanket size 6 or super bulky) I used light green, light yellow, and white. 
  • Crochet hook (I use 6mm but you can use one that matches your yarn size)
  • Stuffing (optional)
  • Eyes (I used 6mm but reccomend 8mm)
  • Needle
  • Stitch Marker (I use bobby pins)
  • Blush (to apply actual powdered blush on the macarons)

Abbreviations ✨

mr - magic ring
sc - single crochet
Inc - Increase
FO - Fasten Off
CC - Colour Change (make sure to CC in the last stitch of the previous round)
BLO - back loop
FLO - front loop
st - stitch

Front Shell (shell + frosting) ๐Ÿฐ

Reference for where to place eyes
R1: 7sc in mr (7)
R2: 7inc (14)
R3: sc all around in FLO (14)
You can insert eyes anytime before sewing but now would be a good time. Insert the eyes in between rounds 1-2. I used 8mm which is really
small (had to use hot glue) so I recommend using 8mm
R4: CC to frosting colour, sc all around (14)
FO and leave a tail

Back Shell ๐Ÿช

R1: 7sc in mr (7)
R2: 7inc (14)
R3: sc all around in FLO (14)
FO and leave a long tail for sewing

P.S. for the blush, I used actual makeup blush to get pigment onto the yarn! If you don't have that, I recommend sewing a light pink yarn once or twice beside and right under the eyes!

Sewing notes ๐Ÿ—’️

So to sew the front and back, I aligned the back shell with the long tail with the frosting. I then worked my needle through the BLO of the back shell and the stitches of the frosting.

For the keychain, put it in the center using the eyes for help. If you don't know how to or struggle with putting keychains on crochet, I recommend watching either of these videos! :
